Job Description:

This neuro medical-surgical RN contract in Peoria offers a chance to work in a 54-bed acute care unit specializing in neuroscience, including stroke, spine surgery, seizure management, brain tumors, and head injuries. The role involves engaging with complex cases where level 1 trauma experience and prior neuro unit expertise are essential. You'll be performing tasks such as titrating heparin drips based on PTT results, troubleshooting ventilator and high-flow oxygen equipment, and collaborating with charge nurses and techs to ensure patient safety. The setting is structured around 12-hour day shifts, with a focus on maintaining optimal patient ratios and providing specialized nursing care. This assignment provides both professional challenge and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully in a dedicated neuro environment.
