Job Description:

Join our pediatric stepdown unit in Chicago, Illinois, where you'll play a vital role in caring for children aged 2 weeks to 18 years with varying degrees of technological dependence. This unique 39-bed unit sees a diverse range of specialties and requires a Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience and expertise in caring for patients with tracheostomies, chronic ventilators, and G-tubes. As part of a dynamic team, you'll be assigned to a 12-hour night shift and will take care of 3-4 patients at a time, ensuring that each child receives the specialized care they need. Be prepared to schedule every other weekend as part of this rewarding experience, where you’ll not only hone your nursing skills but also play a crucial role in the recovery of young patients in an acute care setting. Come prepared for challenges and triumphs as you support families and fellow caregivers during their journeys.
