Job Description:

Join the orthopedic nursing team at UNC Health Pardee in Hendersonville for a 13-week travel contract focused on orthopedic surgical units. You will primarily work 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715), caring for patients recovering from total joint replacements—hip, knee, shoulder—or spine surgeries. This role offers the chance to gain specialized experience in elective orthopedic procedures while floating to other units like MSO and PCU when needed. Expect to manage a typical patient load with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, using EPIC charting to document your shift. Your expertise in orthopedic care, combined with your two or more years of experience, will contribute to quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting that values both skill and adaptability. This assignment is unique because it emphasizes orthopedic surgical recovery, offering a focused and rewarding environment for experienced orthopedic RNs.
