Job Description:

Join our team in Asheville's bustling Emergency Department at Mission Hospital, where you'll be providing essential nursing support in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma and stroke center. This 13-week contract offers a unique chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment like GE monitors and Baxter pumps, while engaging directly with patients through respectful interactions and Trauma assessments. The role involves collaborating with experienced staff across all ED sections, assisting in triage, and managing care for a diverse patient population, many with behavioral holds. Expect every other weekend shifts, with the flexibility to adapt to the department's staffing needs, and the opportunity to showcase your skills in a supportive environment known for teamwork and multicultural engagement—serving over 120 languages in the community. This assignment is perfect for nurses with a minimum of two years' ED experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center, who thrive in dynamic settings and are committed to maintaining high standards of patient and team engagement.
